2 Arms Control and Disarmament Agency

Управление [Агентство\] по контролю над вооружением и разоружением* (государственные орган США, отвечающий за политику в области контроля над вооружениями и разоружениями и в этом качестве участвующее в лицензировании экспорта вооружения и товаров двойного назначения; официально подчиняется госдепартаменту США, но занимает в его системе особое положение; основные задачи агентства сформулированы в законе от 26 сентября 1961 г., согласно которому оно должно предоставлять президенту, госсекретарю и другим официальным лицам в исполнительных органах, конгрессу рекомендации относительно политики США в области контроля над вооружением и разоружением и обосновывать эффективность этих рекомендаций при осуществлении внешней политики, а также политики в области национальной безопасности и экономики; агентство отвечает за координацию работ по изучению и исследованию данных проблем; агентство состоит из четырех главных управлений (бюро), возглавляемых помощниками директора агентства: программ международной безопасности, по оценке и контролю видов оружия, многосторонних проблем и бюро по делам нераспространения ядерного оружия; по сложившейся практике директор агентства считается основным советником госсекретаря США, Совета национальной безопасности и Президента США по вопросам, входящим в компетенцию агентства; является главным лицом, ответственным за переговоры с иностранными государствами по этим проблемам; агентство участвует в деятельности межведомственных рабочих групп, рассматривающих спорные заявки на получение лицензий на экспорт вооружения и товаров двойного назначения; агентство издает ежегодный доклад о своей деятельности, серийные публикации)See:Англо-русский экономический словарь > Arms Control and Disarmament Agency

сокр ACDAНезависимое федеральное агентство [ independent agency], создано в 1961, в 1999 вошло в состав Государственного департамента США [ Department of State, U.S.]. Занималось подготовкой и организацией переговоров об ограничении, сокращении и ликвидации вооружений. Состояло из четырех бюро, возглавлявшихся помощниками директора Агентства: программ международной безопасности, по оценке и контролю видов оружия, многосторонних проблем и по делам нераспространения ядерного оружия. Возглавляется директором.
